ISO27001:2022 revision focus 1: Standard structure adjustment and consistency<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The ISO 27001:2022 version restructures the standard's structure to make it more consistent with high-level structural templates, such as ISO's High-Level Structure (HLS). Such adjustments will help companies more easily integrate ISO 27001 into their existing management systems and improve overall efficiency. In addition, minor editorial changes have been made to the original 2013 main clauses 4 to 10 to align its structure with other management system standards, such as ISO 9001:2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ISO 27001:2022 version introduces a series of new controls to reflect today's ever-changing information security threats. These new controls cover digital transformation, cloud security, supply chain management and more, making the standard more adaptable to real-world situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The key adjustments in Appendix A include adjusting the original 14 control areas to 4 themes, and adjusting the 114 control measures to 93 (11 new ones, 24 consolidated ones, and 58 updated ones).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
