The “Exemplar Global Certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor and IATF 16949:2016 Professional Training Course” meets the international Exemplar Global Course Specification, providing knowledge and skills for conducting first-party internal audits, second-party supplier audits, and third-party auditor audits within the ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 automotive industry supply chain.
This certificate allows registration under Exemplar Global’s QMS category of auditors. To register as an IATF 16949 3rd Party Auditor, one must be endorsed by a certification body and receive training from an authorized organization (such as AIAG or VDA); for training internal seed members within a company to deepen understanding of IATF requirements, this course is a suitable solution.
IATF16949:2016 has enhanced qualification requirements for first and second-party auditors. Launching this course is currently the highest level of second-party auditor training for automotive suppliers. The “Exemplar Global Certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor and IATF 16949:2016 Dual Professional Training Course” aims to train first and second-party auditors and audit program managers to meet the new requirements of IATF 16949:2016 and customer-specific requirements of car manufacturers like FCA, Ford, and General Motors; it includes a certificate for supplier (second-party) auditors, and Exemplar Global certified training for ISO9001:2015 Lead Auditors and IATF16949:2016.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- It is recommended to have foundational knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016, as well as knowledge related to customer-specific requirements.
- It is recommended to have basic knowledge of the five core tools and auditing experience.
- Registrants should have a basic understanding of the contents of the ISO 9001 standards and an interest in becoming an auditor for QMS and IATF 16949 in the future.
SYLLABUS
- Confirm the connections between quality management principles.
- Understand and apply the process-oriented approach of the automotive industry, as well as risk-based thinking.
- Introduce the standards of ISO 9001:2015 and IATF16949:2016.
- Confirm the requirements for first and second-party auditors according to IATF16949:2016.
- Confirm the relationship between IATF16949:2016 standards and customer-specific requirements (CSR), and how to apply CSR during audits.
- Confirm the relationship between the requirements of IATF16949:2016 and core tools, and how to apply related core tool requirements during audits.
- Introduce knowledge applicable to first and second-party audit processes under IATF Certification Rule 5, including the five core tools.
- Apply the audit skill requirements for lead auditors according to ISO9001.
- Apply the concept of risk-based thinking during the audit process.
Note: The training materials for the “Exemplar Global Certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor and IATF 16949:2016 Dual Professional Training Course” do not include the complete text of IATF16949:2016 and ISO9001:2015. However, the requirements mentioned in the standards will be excerpted in the course materials.

- Upon passing the exam, you will receive two certificates:
○Exemplar Global ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Certificate, a personal certification for ISO 9001 auditors.
○ IATF 16949:2016 Supplier Auditor Certificate for those who pass the first and second-party exams, along with the following completion certificates:- Certificate of Completion for the ISO Internal Auditor Course
- Certificate of Completion for the ISO 9001 External (Lead) Auditor Course

- The training course lasts 35 hours and qualifies for the Exemplar Global international registration as a QMS Auditor.
- Based on risk-based thinking, PDCA, and process orientation.
- Focuses on the most critical (high-risk) processes and their outputs.
- Passing the exam grants an Exemplar Global qualification certificate; those who fail the exam receive a certificate of completion and have one year to retake the exam once.
Note: Successfully passing this course/exam does not qualify one to conduct third-party audits under IATF16949.
After obtaining the Exemplar Global ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor qualification, one must also receive endorsement from a certification body and perform witnessed audits to become an official ISO 9001:2015 third-party auditor.

- Participants who fully engage but do not pass the test will receive an IATF 16949:2016 Internal and Second-Party Auditor Completion Certificate issued by Yi Da International Certification, with one opportunity to retake the test within a year.

How is this course different from the IATF 16949 Lead Auditor course?
- The IATF 16949 Lead Auditor qualification course is only open to auditors from certification bodies; general participants cannot attend. To participate, you must first become an auditor with a certification body, and you can only enroll in the qualification course with a recommendation from the certification body.
- This course is open to all participants.
How is this course different from other organizations' 3-day IATF16949 internal audit courses?
